Our Story
In 2017, our story began with a simple belief: everyone deserves a ride with dignity.
Our founder kept seeing guests arrive at the Isha Institute looking a little lost, a little worried, and often wondering how they were going to get where they needed to go next. Instead of walking away, she did something simple—she offered a ride. She wasn’t trying to start a business. She just didn’t like seeing people stranded.
One ride turned into another… and before long, those miles on the road started turning into something much bigger.
By 2018, it became clear that one person and one vehicle couldn’t keep up with the growing need. That’s when a small group of professional drivers joined the mission, sharing the same belief that safe, reliable rides shouldn’t cost an arm and a leg (or require a miracle to arrange).
Then came 2019 and a brilliant suggestion: “Why not start a Facebook page?”
Suddenly guests were connecting, coordinating shared rides, and planning trips together before they even landed. What started as a simple page quickly turned into a lively community—part travel hub, part ride-share board, and occasionally a place where complete strangers became travel buddies.
Then 2020 arrived… and like the rest of the world, everything stopped.
COVID brought challenges none of us expected. Many drivers had to step away, but our core team stayed committed. When Isha reopened, they were ready. Slowly, ride by ride, the service grew again—expanding to nine drivers by 2022.
In 2023 the requests poured in—hundreds of rides for major programs. It sometimes felt like trying to solve a giant puzzle while juggling car keys and answering messages at the same time. Around that same time, our founder faced a serious heart attack. Thankfully she recovered, but the experience reminded all of us that we needed better systems to keep everything running smoothly.
That’s when technology finally joined the party. Online booking tools replaced endless spreadsheets and late-night message threads. Suddenly guests could schedule rides in minutes instead of playing phone tag for hours.
By April 2024, we launched our official website, bringing everything together and helping our support team manage the growing demand behind the scenes. Because drivers should focus on the road—not their phones.
Then came 2025, a year that tested our team in ways we never expected. Our founder lost her beloved mother. Soon after, we lost our dear friend and co-founder Jennifer far too soon. Kyle faced major shoulder replacement surgery, followed only weeks later by surgery for his wife. Moose also endured deep personal loss with the passing of two of his closest friends.
It was a year of heartbreak—but also of resilience.
Through every challenge, the mission never stopped. Rides kept happening. Guests kept arriving. And the team kept showing up for each other and for every traveler who needed a safe way to get to the Institute.
Today, we remain deeply grateful for the incredible people who helped build this journey—Debbi, Jennifer, Kyle, Moose, and many others working quietly behind the scenes to keep everything moving.
What began as one compassionate person offering a ride has grown into something much bigger: a community built on kindness, reliability, and a shared belief that travel should feel welcoming from the very first mile.
And if you happen to hear a few good stories along the way… well, that’s just part of the ride.

With heavy hearts, we remember and honor Jennifer
For seven incredible years, she gave her unwavering dedication, passion, and brilliance to our mission and community. Her impact will be felt for generations to come.
Thank you, Jennifer, for your strength, your guidance, and your boundless heart.
May you rest in peace.
